Young Athlete Zekai Özen Dominates Races at TOSFED Istanbul Park F1 Circuit

Zekai Özen, the young driver of Texaco Team AMS competing under TURKRENT’s main sponsorship, won both races held on August 30–31 at the TOSFED Istanbul Park Circuit in the Maxi Group, maintaining a clear lead in the championship standings.

The race weekend coinciding with Turkey’s Victory Day on August 30 added a special excitement for motorsports enthusiasts and spectators. The event program began with a moment of silence and the Turkish National Anthem, followed by qualifying sessions on Saturday. The weekend concluded on Sunday, August 31, with two races featuring 19 drivers.

Competing with a total of five drivers across two categories—Maxi Group and Super Group—Texaco Team AMS secured Team Championship victory by accumulating the highest points.

In the Maxi Group, Zekai Özen, racing under TURKRENT’s main sponsorship, and in the Super Group, Orçun İnce, racing under MaxFlow’s main sponsorship, have both won all 6 races since the start of the season in their respective classes, maintaining their leadership with a significant points advantage.

As in previous events, spectators were able to watch the races free of charge. In addition, the TOSFED Track Fest event held over the weekend—where participants could drive their own cars on the track—further increased interest and participation.

The championship will continue with upcoming races scheduled for November 1–2 and November 29–30.
